Unexpected

This week the unexpected happened to me.

I went to the dentist because a couple of teeth that a needed to be looked at.
One tooth has a root canal and the other one felt like part of the filling was missing.

After getting X-rays the doctor discovered that the tooth with the root canal was infected and the filling had disappeared out of the other one.

I was referred to a specialist for a consultation. The doctor agreed that the root canal tooth needed to be extracted. The tooth had previously been treated for infection. The treatment eased the pain but didn’t eliminate the infection. As the result of that I’ve walked around with the infection for about a year. Another unexpected.

Today I’m minus the tooth and working on eradicating the infection totally. After the infection is gone I will continue on my quest for restoration. With no more unexpected detours.

Have you had any unexpected in your life?

Train Whistles

Trains whistle blowing

Where is the train

Can this whistle I hear

Only in my head?

Maybe it is

Maybe it’s not

With every push

On the muscle tight

Trains whistle blows.

Muscles fighting

Every touch

No more pain

What is there to gain?

Release of tension

That is caused by strife

Relaxation that is needed

To get on with life.

Thankful for My Exodus

I’m not the same person I was four years ago when I made my exodus from Ohio to Texas. When I arrived in Texas I was a hot mess and I didn’t realize it. The fact is I was a hot mess in Ohio before I left but it wasn’t easy to detect.

I’m thankful that today, 3 years 11 months later I’m a new person from the inside out. I’ve been delivered from many issues that have haunted me for a long time. Not only did I overcome the issues but also lost weight. Those issues would have hindered me from moving into my purpose and destiny. I’m liking who I have become. All this has happened by the gentle hand of God.

Can you look at your life and see anything you’ve been delivered from? Has your life changed as a result of the deliverance?

From Dream Home to Cattle Ranch

For a few weeks I have been scouring books from the library for information on building my dream home.

I’ve looked at many house plans but there’s never one that has everything I’m looking for. That means I need to hire an Architect, present her with faucet and ask her to build my house around it. I saw that on a commercial but I believe that is what I need to get my dream home.

I want my dream home to reflect my personality. I’m not sure what that would look like. Building a home from the ground up is a daunting task but how else can I get what I want.

Do I want a one story or two-story, brick or stone. All the information is swirling in my head. It is intimidating because I don’t know anything about the task.

I found myself wanting to own a ranch raising cattle. I know less about having a cattle ranch than building a home. I think I want to build my dream home on enough land to have a ranch not too far from the city.

I will keep searching and do some rough sketching until I have something that an architect can turn into my dream home.

Do you have a dream that seems too overwhelming to complete? Have you figured out how to make your dream a reality?
