WHAT ABOUT ME

Busy listening

Giving counseling

Drying tears

Encouraging words

Holding hands

Hugging tight

Helping those

Morning, noon and night

Drained to the core

Words-there’s no more

Energy is spent

Body hard hit

Along with the mind

Phone always ringing

Mostly sobbing

No singing

What do you think

What should I do

Never how are you doing

Is life treating you well

Is there anything I can do

Can we talk about you

I’m here for you day or night.

Sitting before the Lord

Reevaluating my life

Not seeing progress

Nor my prayers answered

I cried out from

The depth of my soul

What about me

What about me Lord

What about me

I don’t see what I prayed for

Why no one cares to listen to me

Ask me hard questions

That make me think

Receive a hug I didn’t give

A tissue to wipe away my tears

What about me

What about me Lord

Will it ever be my time?

No Reason – For A Reason

When I lay my head down on the pillow in bed a new adventure starts.

Why does it seem like I live two lives-one when I’m awake and one in my dreams . I turn into a person that’s more fun and exciting, more daring and free. The fearless one ready to take on the world. A crusader minus the cape. No Reason!

Why can I take on the world and solve its pressing problems by night? But I can’t solve a simple puzzle by light.

No Reason! No Reason! No Reason!

Why is my future bright in the night but dim in the light? I don’t have to fuss, cuss or fight in the night. Everything is laid out just right.

Maybe it’s a reprieve from the light when everything seems to be going wrong – not in the dark but in the light. For No Reason!

I’ll just continue to live my lives – one by day and one by night. Striving to be all I can be. Whether asleep or awake in the day or the night.

Let me come together and Be!

For A Reason!

Six of One, Half a Dozen of the Other – He Knows

In response to The Daily Post’s writing prompt: “Six of One, Half a Dozen of the Other.”

Write a six-word story about what you think the future holds for you, and then expand on it in a post.

He knows His plan for me

“For I know the plans I have for you,” says the LORD. “They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope.” Jeremiah 29:11 NLT

My future was ordained by the Lord before I was knit in my mother’s womb. It is for good and not evil. He has given me a future although it hasn’t fully unfolded before me. Along with the future came hope. That hope is what I hold on to when I can’t see anything resembling a future. One thing I have to remind myself of is what I see as my future might not look like the future the Lord as put together for me.

For that reason I keep in constant contact with Him through looking and listening and being quite so I can hear the still small voice that’s booming loud and clear.

Thankful for My Exodus

I’m not the same person I was four years ago when I made my exodus from Ohio to Texas. When I arrived in Texas I was a hot mess and I didn’t realize it. The fact is I was a hot mess in Ohio before I left but it wasn’t easy to detect.

I’m thankful that today, 3 years 11 months later I’m a new person from the inside out. I’ve been delivered from many issues that have haunted me for a long time. Not only did I overcome the issues but also lost weight. Those issues would have hindered me from moving into my purpose and destiny. I’m liking who I have become. All this has happened by the gentle hand of God.

Can you look at your life and see anything you’ve been delivered from? Has your life changed as a result of the deliverance?
