What I Would Tell My Teenage Self

I would tell my teenage self to enjoy your life as a teenager. Don’t rush into adulthood because you will be an adult longer than you will be a teenager. Don’t let anyone convince you to do adult things trying to convince you that you would have fun. When you attempt to do adult things you will likely end up with adult responsibilities you are not equipped to handle. Premarital sex, baby out of wedlock, drugs steal your teenage life and innocence. Remember there is no place in your life for those things if you want to go to college and have a career. Be careful and protective of your precious life and don’t play Russian roulette with it because you may win a few spins but losing is in the cards. You end up broke.

Come Join

I came to this place, an enchanting place, at least to me for me at such a time as this.

Searching for the truth, my truth that my Father has placed in me. The truth that will awaken the sleeping giant He created me to be. A mover and shaker in the Kingdom of God.

Moving in and out of places known and unknown. Shaking awake the sleepers. Sounding the alarm that now is the time to join the ranks of the army of God. Time to know where you will spend eternity.

There’s plenty to do. Come get on board. To be a part of the new day dawning with a heart filled with joy as you look forward, forgetting the past that has held you captive far too long.

Come join, come join dear ones to experience a place you’ve only dreamed of.

WHAT ABOUT ME

Busy listening

Giving counseling

Drying tears

Encouraging words

Holding hands

Hugging tight

Helping those

Morning, noon and night

Drained to the core

Words-there’s no more

Energy is spent

Body hard hit

Along with the mind

Phone always ringing

Mostly sobbing

No singing

What do you think

What should I do

Never how are you doing

Is life treating you well

Is there anything I can do

Can we talk about you

I’m here for you day or night.

Sitting before the Lord

Reevaluating my life

Not seeing progress

Nor my prayers answered

I cried out from

The depth of my soul

What about me

What about me Lord

What about me

I don’t see what I prayed for

Why no one cares to listen to me

Ask me hard questions

That make me think

Receive a hug I didn’t give

A tissue to wipe away my tears

What about me

What about me Lord

Will it ever be my time?

My Perceptions

A definition of perception is the ability to see, hear,
or become aware of something through the senses.

Pain
Pain can be physical or emotional. Physical pain can be in a particular part of your body or all over. Emotional pain can make you think your heart is broken and you can’t go on. It some times hurt worse than physical pain.
Any pain you have can be eradicated by The Healer.

Bowling
Bowling is a spiritual game. The pins are like problems that won’t go away. They keep standing when they should have fallen. In order to bring them down don’t rush them, but with a pause, listen for a strategy and move forward. You win.

Writing
In writing you get freedom. You can use your wildest imagination that can be entertaining to the reader. You can tell your story that can set a person free. If you have a mandate to write stop putting it off and get to it. Satisfaction of completion can be a wonderful thing.

Listening
Listening is a hard thing to do. You can start listening to someone but can go off the beaten path into your own world by just one word that was spoken. Everyone who wants you to listen don’t always want a response. They only want a listener. Do them and yourself a favor-listen.

Birds
Birds are interesting to watch. Their ways resemble people. One minute they are working together and the next they are fighting. Fluttering and flapping their wing and squawking remind me of many people I’ve come in contact with over the years. They fly away never to be seen again. With people that may not happen.
