The Eighth Sin

Remember the seven cardinal sins? You’re given the serious task of adding a new one to the list — another trait or behavior you find particularly unacceptable, for whatever reason. What’s sin #8 for you? Why?

For me sin #8 is Revenge.

It’s a shame that everyone doesn’t comply with the American right to free speech and freedom to do or not do according to their conscience.

Seeking revenge against someone or their business because they don’t believe what you believe has moved up a few notches to #1 in my book.

The saying “Just say no” has become a cardinal sin to some people.

The right thing to do is say thank you and move on to the next place. Not seek revenge because they don’t think or feel the same as you.

Why should a person be sued for their beliefs and have their livelihood snatched from them.

That’s a shame no matter who it is happening to and why.

Life After Blogs

Your life without a computer: what does it look like?

Life with a computer would not be good at first.

That would be the end of blogs, Facebook, twitter, emails and everything else connected with the computer. I’d be in trouble trying to go places because I can’t read a map. I guess I’d stay home more.

Letter writing by hand would again become the thing of the present. The sadness in that is I’d have to print the letters because cursive writing is no longer taught in school.

Watching my Sunday worship service via webcast would come to an end. That’s not a good thought.

I would be able to do a lot of things I use to do when I didn’t have a computer and didn’t waste a lot of time playing games. That would be a good thing.

At the end of the day I think I’d survive.

Quote Me

Do you have a favorite quote that you return to again and again? What is it, and why does it move you?

I don’t know if this qualifies as a quote or just something I return to again and again, but here it is.

Don’t start me to lying

I can’t recall when I first started saying it or where I got it from. I get a laugh out of whoever hears me say it. I get to laugh when people try to say it back to me. They usually say:

Don’t get me to lying

I then correct them.

Just Another Day

Our days our organized around numerous small actions we repeat over and over. What’s your favorite daily ritual?

My favorite daily ritual encompass the three days a week I work. Every morning my co-worker and I walk to the kitchen for breakfast. It’s quite a walk to the kitchen but by the time we arrive back at our office we’ve gotten a good bit of exercise.

I usually don’t get breakfast but I do get a cup of organic coffee. It’s an important ritual because that is my special time to fellowship with my co-worker who is like my son.

Kick It

What’s the 11th item on your bucket list?

I’m sorry to say I don’t have a bucket list. Is that different than a to-do list?

I can’t get my to-do list accomplished. I’ll leave a bucket list for another time in the future.

If I had a bucket list today the only thing that would be on it is learning how to maneuver through my WordPress blogs. Especially adding media-uploading, downloading, adding, etc. Oh, I almost forgot, finding the pictures to enhance my blogs.

Other than that I want to just get through today.
