A Brand New You, Effective Tomorrow

Tomorrow you get to become anyone in the world that you wish. Who are you? You can choose to be anyone alive today, or someone gone long ago. If you decide to stay “you” share your rationale.

I’m going to continue to be me.

There are no perfect people in the world. That means there is no one better than me. In my day-to-day life I come across people that have issues that they don’t know what to do with and some of their issues are worse than mine. I’ll continue to work on improving me.

I have every thing I need and am lacking nothing. Most of all I have Jesus as my Lord who is the head of my life. There are many people I know or come in contact with that don’t have a relationship, some don’t want one, with Jesus.

I know me. I know what it takes to become a better me. I don’t have to try and figure out what it takes and then get it wrong. I will work on being the best me that I can be starting tomorrow, next year, 2016.

Take Care

When you’re unwell, do you allow others to take care of you, or do you prefer to soldier on alone? What does it take for you to ask for help?

I usually tough it out on my own. I don’t want to bother friends who offer to help me. I usually can make it through any situation except when my sciatic nerve in my back caused me great distress earlier this year. I asked for help on several occasions.

For me to accept or ask for help there has to be no way for me to accomplish necessary things like walk or go the the bathroom-really necessary things.

Safety First

Share the story of a time you felt unsafe.

The unsafe incident that came to mind happened a few years ago.

I worked at the Police Department in the Fiscal Section. I took our daily deposit to City Hall every morning. Usually most mornings someone would come up to me and ask directions.

This particular morning was not any different except the guy who came up to me started to make strange noises while hitting himself on his forehead. At that moment fear engulfed me and I thought what have I gotten myself into. The attack began.

This crazy man was trying to take control over me from above me because he was taller than me. As he tried to overcome me he was met with my flailing arms like a windmill on high speed. In the midst of the struggle he threw up his arms like someone pointed a gun at him and turned away running as fast as he could.

Still shaken from that frightening experience I made my way back to my office. An APB was dispatched but that guy was nowhere to be found.

Maybe, just maybe he saw my Angel and he hasn’t stop running yet.
