I ended my last adventure and started a new one today.

My old adventure was taking a writing course online. The course was the first online course I’ve ever taken.

The course seemed to steer us toward writing a book. I never wanted to write a novel. I didn’t think I had enough to say to fill the pages of a novel. The assignment was to write titles for as many chapters as you’d want your book to have. Naming chapters brought an order to writing a book I’ve not known before and I believe I can if I put my mine to it.

Our last assignment was to write a 500-word piece about anything we wanted to. Mine evolved from an earlier assignment called I Remember that was to be a short paragraph. I started writing and it ended up being over 1,000 words that had to be shortened.

The monster was the final. Most questions appeared to be trick questions. I passed the final scoring 97 and missing one question that I labored over longer than I should have.

The course was very informative. I learned more than I previously knew about writing and hope to put it in practice in a big way.

My newest adventure is participating in NaBloPoMo for the first time. I’m expecting a great time writing my blogs and reading and interacting with other Bloggers.
