In response to The Daily Post’s writing prompt: “Beyond the Pale.”
When was the last time you did something completely new and out of your element? How was it? Will you do it again?
The first and last time I did something completely new and out of my element was September 2014. I made my first trip to Europe – Italy to be exact. The first week I took part in a cooking vacation in the mountains in Norcia. That time was a wonderful experience. I met great people from America and Canada. We did a lot of sight-seeing all around Norcia.
After that week I went to Rome for two days and then on to Venice for two days. Rome was a resting place after Norcia. I did take a tour on top of a bus. Venice was a dream come true. I rode in a Gondola which was something I always wanted to do. Loved riding the water taxi and taking a lot of pictures.
I enjoyed every moment of my adventure and I will do it again. The most amazing part of my trip was I went alone.
That sounds so awesome! I want to travel more.
I was just thinking I would like to go back to Italy. But I think right now I might look into somewhere close to home. I got a new camera I want to break in. Hope you find a great place to visit. Thanks for reading my post. Blessings.
I need a new camera. I joined a photo walk group and my photos are not as good as others because my camera is old but I enjoy it anyway. Thanks for reading my post as well. Have a great day!
Girl, just use what you have until a way opens to upgrade. The photo walk group sounds fun. I would like to join something like that. Learn as many tricks of the trade as you can and by the time you get your new camera you’ll be a pro. If you don’t know what kind of new camera you want you can do research and go to stores that sell cameras to try out and ask questions. The guy that sold me my camera was a wealth of information. Blessings and success to you with your photo walk group.
I applaud you, as I have many female friends who are afraid to travel in the US alone, yet alone travel to Europe. Check Youtube for great videos on how to use a camera. I recently posted photos on my site from my visit to Key West.
Thanks for the vote of confidence and visiting my blog. Sometimes you have to do what you have to do. I planned to go back in 2005 but trip was delayed. Then last year became the year to go. I will check out Youtube for camera videos. I will check out your site to view your photos. Blessings.
