Ice Cream Calling My Name

In response to The Daily Post’s writing prompt: “32 Flavors.”

Ice cream is my favorite all-time dessert. I’m addicted to it. I can eat it for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Throw it in as a snack also. Ice cream even calls my name. Of course I answer with spoon in hand.

I found that I can’t buy it at the store and expect it to last a while because I’ll answer it’s call every time I hear my name. I finally got a clue that I can only buy it when I feel the need for the satisfaction it creates. I buy a pint, get my spoon and polish off every last bite.

It’s hard to decide which is my favorite. The mood I’m in plays a big part in the flavor of the day. I might like some oldies and another time I might venture out into the deep and try a new one. There are days chocolate has to be in the mix; double chocolate, triple chocolate or chocolate chips. Nuts are a must. Not peanuts though. If I have cake, pie or cookies, plain vanilla will work.

Talking about my favorite food makes me want to run out to the store and pick up a pint-a new flavor. Bye.

  1. Lucky you! For several years now, I have had an allergy to dairy products. They make my throat itch and swell, my eyes water and my nose run. No more traditional ice-cream for me ๐Ÿ˜ฆ but I have found really good coconut milk ice cream, so I’m happy about that! ๐Ÿ™‚
