Today is my birthday and the first thought that crossed my mind was to give my Good Good Father my appreciation for the life He has given me.

Looking Back Into My Future

Good morning Father

This is the day that you have made

I will rejoice and be glad in it

This is the day July 19 you planned

For my entrance into the earth

At 2:18 am you hit the start button

For me to begin on the journey

Of my purpose and destiny

Sometimes it hasn’t been easy

But you’ve been here for me

To get me back to your path for me

You knew there would be stubborn times

That I would be disobedient

And do my own thing

You’d let me with a watchful eye

You were there to pick me up

Dust me off and love on me

When my stubborn actions

Got me in trouble

To let me know you’ve still got me covered

You’ve been and still are a Good, Good Father

You are true to your word

You never leave me nor forsake me

You take such good care of me

You said I am bound to be blessed

You heap blessings upon me daily

You shower me with gifts and surprises

That turns me into Daddy’s giggly, giddy little girl

I thank and praise you for letting me

End one year and start another with great

Expectations of what you want me to do for you

I do and always will love you

Need you and trust you with

Every beat of my heart

I honor and love you for being my Good Father

This weekend we are celebrating Passover and the resurrection of Jesus The Christ. Jesus was our Passover Lamb that was born to redeem us from Adam’s treason when he chose death over life in the garden.

By Jesus’s unconditional love he bled, suffered and died so we could have the same choice as Adam. We can choose eternal life in Christ or eternal life with Satan. If Jesus hadn’t stepped up and died in our place we wouldn’t be able to make that choice. We would have all been doomed to Hell.

What Jesus did is a great reason to have a celebration.

Passion of God through Christ

With great joy we praise The Lord

For all He did on the cross

The passion was God’s alone

Jesus gave up His life

As a sacrifice

Because God’s desire

Was for no one to perish

But have everlasting life

Your life is not your own

It belongs to the one who paid the price

Surrender freely

To experience the passion

Like none known before

God’s passion fulfilled by Christ

You have loved me with an everlasting love. I will bless you with an eternal blessing.

You have denied yourself and honored my request. Your seed’s seed will be blessed.

You bowed your knee and gave me the glory I deserve. You live your life in such a way that everyone knows you belong to me.

I will point you in the right direction and show you the way to go. I will never leave you nor forsake you and will hold you in the palm of my hand.

The LORD is Always with Me

Today I was reading Acts 2 when I got to verse 25. Peter was telling the crowd that gathered what King David prophesied about Jesus.

I see that the LORD is always with me. I will not be shaken, for he is right beside me.

I began looking in my past at the things that could have ended my life—an abusive husband and a boyfriend that tried to kill me by shooting me.

As I looked at the various incidents I could see that the LORD was always with me and delivered me from the destruction that was on my path. My Uncle who was a physician said I should have been dead from the shooting. But God!

I have to admit I was shaken and afraid. Even in my fear and trembling the LORD was right beside me. He is always with me today.

LORD I thank you that no matter what situation we find ourselves in you are right there with us.
