Beau the Bulldog has been a hope, dream and a figment of my imagination for a while now. One day I plan to make him a dream come true.
I‘ve wanted a bulldog for a long time but for one reason or the other I’ve never purchased a puppy. He already has a name. I can visualize sitting on the patio cooling it with him. He’d be the reason I’d go for a walk.
I let a lot of things get in the way and always had an excuse. One thing that makes me nervous is the breed has a lot of health problems. I believe that is what put on the breaks. I’ve tried to pick another breed but my heart belongs to the bullies.

Wow! A Beautiful Sight!
I was at the farmer’s market and there was the most beautiful and healthy looking bulldog I’ve ever laid eyes on. He exuded strength and power. I just so happened to have my camera and snapped a few photos.
Just maybe the addition to my family will be coming soon.
That is indeed a beautiful bulldog! I bet one is just waiting for a special spot in your heart! I hope you will look at rescue organizations first. Save a dog and they will love you forever!

I am Facebook friends with a Bulldog rescue organization. I also share their posts in case someone might see one that steals their heart. The foster parents seem to do a good job at fostering them. I’m always on the lookout. Thanks a bunch.
Best friend Beau, will soon make his way into your life! I love bulldogs, boxers and pugs. I had a pug, but no more.
The last dog I had was a Great Dane but I was a stay at home mom then. That was many years ago. I’ll see what the future brings. Thanks.
Here’s a link that I’ve found very helpful… https://m.petfinder.com
It shows a number of shelter and rescue groups listing of dogs. There are so many that need homes. If you enter your zip code and then narrow your search to bull dogs I’m sure you’ll find a bunch. All of the dogs that I’ve had as an adult have been shelter/rescue dogs and they have all been/are loves! Some have needed talc and a bit of patient training, but they have been worth every minute. Don’t worry too much about possible health weaknesses of a breed. Most all of them are “prone” to something, but most are healthy anyway. …I guess you can tell I’m a big dog fan and adore my four-legged-furry-loves. I think if I didn’t have a dog of my own, I would volunteer at a shelter just to be around dogs ❤ Wishing you all the best!
Getting a dog from a shelter is a great idea. We got our current pooch from a shelter here in Australia more than ten years ago and he’s been a wonderful family dog.
That’s cute, especially that you have a name picked out for your future puppy. Who knows, maybe the time is right. Lots to think about, lots to consider. Good luck and best wishes.
I’ve been waiting for the right time. I don’t want to be putting him off on someone while I travel the world. They take up a lot of time and I want to be able to give him that time. I believe the time is coming soon. Thanks.
Maybe you should put the picture on your refrigerator and look at it every day and imagine that he’s in the kitchen with you and poof! Bulldog!
One day Beau will be my buddy.
