In response to The Daily Post’s writing prompt: “Two Right Feet.”
What are the things you need to do within 30 minutes of waking up to ensure your day gets off on the right foot. What happened the last time you didn’t do one of these things.
I don’t use an outer alarm clock but an inner one. The first thing I do when the inner clock wakes me up is thank The Lord for getting me through the night and letting me experience a new day.
When I finally get up I run my bath water while I complete a few other hygiene activities. After I get out of the tub I finish up by applying my makeup.
After all the above is finished I head into the kitchen to whip up a smoothie before I’m out the door.
Everything goes along smoothly as long as I complete each step. If I miss a step, I’m in trouble.
One day I got off track and missed the makeup step. It never occurred to me that I missed it until I looked closely at myself in the mirror at work. I didn’t scream or holler because I wasn’t that frightening to look at bare-faced. I just busted out laughing and went on my merry way. When I told my coworker about my missing my makeup, she replied that she couldn’t tell. Well, how about that.
Your coworker couldn’t tell because you are beautiful with or without make up! Go!
Thank you a bunch! Much blessings.
